Train-friendly takeout near Back Bay Station?
I'm taking the train to New York tonight, boarding at Back Bay Station around ~6:45pm. I'd love to get some good, cheapish, chow-ish takeout to bring with me on the train. Can any of you suggest such a place within, say, a ten-minute walk of the station? Cuisine doesn't matter, I'll eat just about anything - though I'd prefer something besides pizza tonight. And I'll spend up to about $15 or so.
Burritos and Tacos to Go! is a little stand just inside the train station that I like, very convenient.
B. Good is a "healthy fast food" joint very close by on Dartmouth Street. Not my favorite, but it is close. Similarly, Au Bon Pain has an outlet close by in the Copley Place Mall, not far from Neiman-Marcus.
Appleton Bakery Cafe a couple of blocks down Dartmouth Street past Columbus Ave had good sandwiches, salads, and such.
Pricier sit-down restaurants nearby that you could take away from: Coda (upscale comfort food), Douzo (fancy Japanese), Osushi (sushi/sashimi, a bit more modest that Douzo), Clerys (fake-Irish bar with lots of American pub food), Brownstone (sister restaurant to Clerys, similar American and fake-Irish pub food).
Parish has good sandwiches, but it is a half-mile away.
