Best Plate Lunches I have found in WA by a good margin

I grew up on Oahu the land of great plate lunches and have tried all the big players in W.Wa and have not found anything better than this. L & L uses cheap ingredients, Bobby's is the same and seems to go downhill everytime I give them another chance. Oahu was okay, I only went in the beginning and Kauai Family is good but really slow and not nearly as good for basic plate lunches as Hawaiian Sun. They also have the nicest staff, least greasy Katsu, amazing Meat Jun, great mac salad. I don't know why this place isn't always packed but it should be. You can also make your own combo plates with almost any combo of entrees other than lau lau. Check it out, it is just a few blocks from Everett Mall.

we like Northshore Hawaiian BBQ on E. Yestler.
and it's not hawaiian, per say, but Toshio's Terriaki on 1706 Rainier Avenue South does a good shortribs and tempura.

thanks for the tip on Hawaiian Sun, i'll have to give 'em a try

I'm also from Oahu originally. I liked Hawaiian Sun (although it was a little hard to find), but wasn't blown away. I was pretty excited that they have crispy gaugee (which is basically nonexistant in WA otherwise), but was a bit disappointed with how it came out.

For chicken katsu, I love Hawaiian BBQ on the Ave (around 50th & University).
