need help with birthday restaurant suggestion

Hi!!
I'm planning for a birthday dinner for my bf. He doesn't really like fine dining, or any too-fancy restaurants. I want to take him to a fun place for birthday dinner. I have two places in mind: basta pasta or inakaya. The waiters there sing for your birthday and the places are pretty cool.
I wonder if any of you could help me with suggestion if you guys know any other places like these, where the waiters would sing happy birthday to you.

    go to Panna II on 1st Ave and 6th. it's BYOB, inexpensive and totally nuts. you can't go wrong. the waiters don't sing, but they do have a Birthday Song and a light show.

        ok, but let's be clear about one thing - Panna II is not known for having exceptional food, not by any stretch of the word. it's a long narrow room, upstairs and next door to three other comparable Indian restaurants. each restaurant has a host standing outside trying to usher customers from their competitors. i've only ever been to Panna II - upstairs on the right. they have countless stringed lights all over the walls and ceiling. it's enough to induce a seizure. for birthdays, they flick on and off the lights while blaring an Indian disco song. i haven't been in years, but i can't imagine it has changed.
