Looking for Colmar restaurant recommendations for trip with my father
I'm taking a river cruise with my father and we're two nights prior to cruise in Colmar. We won't have a car so we're looking to stay local. I'm interested in any thoughts on good restaurants in the area. While I'm a foodie (want good food, not necessarily fancy) and my father is less adventuresome on food so unlikely to anything too fussy. Budget isn't an issue, just interested in good food.
La Taverne de Alsacienne and Wistub la Petite Venise both look interesting so any thoughts on those? Appreciate any other ideas individuals may have as the Trip Advisor reviews are pretty brief.
Any thoughts on hotels appreciated as well. We're thinking either Le Colombier or Maison des Tetes (Marechal looks cute but gets pretty spotty reviews)

A few years back two of us ate at Restaurant Meistermann - Avenue de la République 2a, Colmar 68000. Both of us had the venison stew with spatzel (Civet de biche a l'ancienne spatzeles) - rich and flavorful. Service was professional and attentive. I don't remember much else except that both of us were pleased.
