Sunday San Francisco dinner near SOMA

Need a Sunday dinner rec somewhere within walking distance or 5 min taxi ride of Mission and 3rd. Tired of Zuni and tried Slanted Door in the past, but not a great meal. Looking for Contemporary/American/French/California cuisine for this trip. Thanks in advance.

    1. Double your taxi time and enjoy a meal at SPQR. The California/Italian small plates are wonderful and backed up by a well-thought-out wine list. It's a little cramped and a bit noisy but well worth the effort. A reservation is a good idea.

Yes, I agree that if you're willing to head to SPQR, it's very worthwhile!

          I'll "third" the SPQR recommendation.

        1. RN74 - Michael Minna's less formal restaurant.
