Best slice of pie in montreal

So i have just watched every episode of pushing daisies over the last two weeks and have a craving for a slice of pie. A few types available, close to the plateau, serves coffee (i take it damn good! and hot!) would be great! Would like somewhere to hit up with some kind of regularity ideally!

Cheers!

    Mmmmmm Rockaberry.

So many choices. I can satisfy my craving for gooey rich chocolate and caramel when necessary but my favourite is the apple crumble. Sooooooo good warmed up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thank god I don't know the calorie count on these pies.

My mom's key lime pie :) But I've adopted the recipe!!

There's actually a place on Van Horne near Bernard which is delicious but the name unfortunately escapes me at the moment.

The one in my head? Oops, I was hoping my amazing sense of direction would not be exposed on this board, but that ship has sailed!
I believe it was near Wiseman.

Found it, this place is really amazing and worth the journey if it's not around the corner.

;-) it's between Champagneur and Outremont, north side of Van Horne. Their pies can be very good, but they do have a tendency to load them with almond paste or ground nuts, which can make for a much heavier fruit pie than one was expecting...

Dunno how it is lately but had a blueberry at Bonatarte on St. Jacques and it wasn't bad.

If pushing daisies does that to you, stay away from twin Peak, you'll be having too much coffee and pie in no time (if there is such a thing). Not sure if it's the best, but Mamie Clafoutis opened a branch on St-Denis, near St-Louis square. I haven't tried the coffee, but baked goods are pretty good.
I'm also a fan of Rockaberry, for the fruit pie s(cobbler style).
Other good bakeries in the Plateau areas:
            Cafe Soufflé (St-Urbain/Marie-anne)
The whole Laurien area between St-Denis and Papineau.
But pie is not as present in Montreal as it is in the states, so most bakeries will have only a limited selection

If you haven't tried rockaberry, they have a good selection and the one on st-denis has a cozy coffee/bar area. their specialty is large slices of over the top chocolate creme and cheese pie variations, but their fruit pies are also unusually large and unusually shaped- good taste though. Can be crowded weekends and nights like everything in that area. www.rockaberry.ca

Any Rockaberry pie with about 3-4 inches thick of "cheese frosting" is to die for!

I guess there is no arguing about taste.

Am I allowed to say I think that sounds rather gross?
