Lunch & Dinner in Charleston, SC
My husband and I are coming to Charleston for the first time in April, staying somewhere in French Quarter (we need hotel ideas too). We need some restaurant recommendations. I don't care about price, but don't want anything stuffy or pretentious--just good food of whatever kind and a good experience. We'd be so grateful for any suggestions.

Lots of great places. Check out the recs on Charleston Magazines website. I love Hominy Grill, Slightly North of Broad, FIG, Cru Cafe to name a few. None are stuffy. Amen Street Bar and Grill has great seafood.

I'd look into Husk and McCradys (dine at the bar for a less formal experience).
La Fourchette for classic rustic French food.
