Minced Beef -- Best Cut?

I'm making Sheperd's Pie for a family dinner, and I've noticed it's traditional to used minced lamb or beef rather than ground. I'm doing beef because my mother refuses to eat lamb, but I'm not sure which cut would be best to mince for the pie?

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Unless you know a different meaning, 'minced' is the term used in the UK for 'ground', is the recipe British?

Yes, the recipe is British. I didn't know minced was the same as ground - thanks for clarifying things! This will save me some time. ;)
