I've wanted this forever. I intend to cook most of the weekend. Please give me some ideas to get started. What's the best thing you make in yours?

  1. PLEASE UPLOAD PICS OR VIDEO OF THE UNBOXING!!!

    1. southernitalian, how appropriate for my suggestion, Chicken Vesuvio. I modify the recipe and use only chicken breasts, but it's a great meal in a single pot. http://www.great-chicago-italian-reci... I haven't cooked anything from this site that wasn't fantastic.

      1. Congratulation! Best time to cook hearty meals in DO.

I made this one two weeks ago. So yummy.

I also recommend the book, All About Braising, by Molly Stevens

Anything from the above post...braising is incredible this time of year. Short ribs would be my first choice as well. :)

Yes. I love short ribs braised in red wine. There are so many versions of recipes for this meal but I like Martha Stewart recipe best. ( Takes two days to complete but very simple, too. ) The one in the bonapetit, I linked, is second.

        2. braised short ribs and a loaf of no knead bread.

          1. Comfort food!

            beef stew
            LBJ chili
            gumbo
            lentil soup with ham
