Best place for Indian Butter Chicken (Chicken Makhani)?

Ok, I know this might sound a bit pathetic, but I bought the Tandoori Style Butter Chicken at Trader Joe's and am now obsessed with it. I would love to have it at an authentic Indian restaurant. Any recommendations? I live in Chula Vista, but don't mind traveling a bit.

I also love butter chicken but being on a budget, I cannot fulfill all my cravings all the time at restaurants. North Park Produce sells Shan's seasonings, and they have a butter chicken seasoning mix ($1.19), which is excellent. Make sure and follow the recipe, although the amount of butter/ghee in it makes my heart hurt.

punjabi Tandoor on Activity Rd off Black Mtn Rd is your closest and best bet.

Second this. Theirs is the best I've had in San Diego. The family that runs the place is usually quite friendly, too.

Third on Punjabi Tandoor. We go there all the time and my boyfriend always gets the Chicken Makhani.

Punjabi Tandoor has very limited seating inside and several picnic tables outside. They also do to-go orders.
