Three Thieves - new wine show on Cooking Channel
This show debuts this week on the Cooking Channel. One of the three guys is Joel Gott who makes some reall nice wine in and aorund the Napa Valley and is part-owner of what is now called Gott's Roadside but was Taylor's Refresher for years.
From what I've read this is a pilot episode and it sounds like future episodes will be made if this one goes over well.

I will watch anything with Joel Gott. He is such a great guy. On a trip to Napa, my husband and I were getting a snack at the Ox Bow, where Joel was having a "meet the wine maker" food and wine tasting. He overheard my husband and I toasting our anniversary and sent us over the free tasting menu. Joel also took the time and talked with us about where to go and what to do when we went down to San Francisco. He also gave us a free bottle of wine.

re: HillJ
"Every wine has a story" and that's exactly what I was hoping this new CC show would offer. My only complaint for the first epi is the sound. I have a very difficult time hearing the guys talk at different points in the show. Volume, mike issue. I hope the show doesn't turn into a "wine jammers" and gets really focused on wine regions and the wine makers story. That would be interesting television.

I had no trouble with the sound, only with some of the heavy accents. Overall I thought ther show was OK. Hard to pinpoint what I felt was lacking, but it just didn't hit a home run for me. Maybe it was too much like many other things I've seen. Great for more exposure of wine to viewers....... just not all that interesting if you've been exposed to a lot like it. I kept thinking Batali/Bittman/Paltow/Casols which I really liked in comparison. Jus my 2¢.
