Been to Gramercy Tavern and EMP. Going to be in down 2/8, 2/9 and looking for something similar. Thoughts, suggestion?

  1. Definitely try Giorgio's of Gramercy. It's been a neighborhood favorite for years. The food is always great, the bartender knows his stuff and best of all you can actually hear the conversation at your own table instead of having to listen to the one going on next to you.

We went about three weeks ago and the hands down favorites in our party of eight were the veal osso bucco, the scallops, the upscale ultimate comfort food mac & cheese, not that anyone else complained about their meal. Whatever you order plan on getting a side of the creamed spinach or the mustard coated Brussels sprouts for the table. And although the desserts were proclaimed fabulous by all at the table I was happy with my cheese plate - which I could have eaten for dinner, it was pretty big.

Try the link for a better idea of what to expect http://www.giorgiosofgramercy.com/

    1. Try Almond on 22nd bt park and broadway. Great food and atmosphere- always love my food there and everyone who I bring loves it. Another choice: Novita on 22nd bt park and lex. Novita is a hot Italian spot - must make a reservation. I agree with the other post - Georgios has great food....although not crazy about atmosphere. Have a great time!!!
