Lunch Near Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art
Hi:
We're going to try the Vatican Treasures exhibit. Need a "late lunch" spot, not crowded, to decompress before getting back out on the Interstate. What's good and relaxed, near the Museum?

YOLO on Las Olas is a few blocks East and has a good atmosphere, good food and also outdoor dining (if you want that)... or if you prefer more casual spot you could try Rok Brgr which is a few blocks West on 2nd St... they have been open about 1month and have a great selection or burgers, apps, and some other comfort food style entrees.

Cafe Europa is also on Las Olas and is very good. We also like the crepe restaurant on Las Olas for salads or crepes.

Wow! Miaedu beat me to the punch on two of my suggestions. I also recommend 11th Street Annex and Bluejays (the spicier of the two). I would add http://www.charcuterietoo.com/ in the downtown Library as another great decompression spot.

Downtown library isn't very nice due to all the homeless that live / hangout there nowadays, they have one of the largEst population of homeless in Broward county according to the sun sentinel :/

Bluejay's is spicier how? I like really spicy food.

Bluejay's is spicy in a Southwestern kind of way. Many, but not all of their selections include green chiles, poblanos, chipotle, and such. They put a lot of care into their food and it's always on my list for downtown recommendations. http://www.bluejayscafefl.com/lunch.html

11th St Annex, Charcuterie Too (yes there are a lot of homeless folks outside), ROK:BRGR are all great options, but let me also recommend Barbara Young Bakery on Las Olas for some incredible and inexpensive shrimp n' grits, lobster bisque or salads. Its very cute, very relaxing and very tasty,

I went to 11th St Annex for lunch this week. It was cute, relaxing, comfortable, and free easy parking...the food was all homemade, but not great. No menu and they had a choice of about 5 sandwiches that day (all were $9) served with very good macaroni salad. Saw it on Check, Please and wanted to try it.
