Group of 6 celebrating 30th in Toronto

We are a group of 6 women from out of town looking for a fun place to have dinner to celebrate our 30th birthdays. We want some good food and wine selection, no specific budget in mind. We don't want to be in a stuffy place, we are looking for a restaurant with a fun ambiance to celebrate. Downtown area preferred. Group is food adventurous and open minded. Any suggestions?

I'll toss out Buca. Loved their pig's ears and the beet salad was an almost-dessert. Tasty. Pasta is okay, but their apps seem to get a lot of love.

They have an enomatic and a good selection, so you can drink lots of different wines from the entire spectrum.

It's a noisy place at peak hours, very lively. Not too fancy.

Enoteca Sociale is along the same lines, but even more casual.

Best food, but no reservations, is The Black Hoof. Great (and interesting) cocktails, wine selection isn't crazy, but decent.

Second Buca! I way prefer the apps, flatbread pizzas and the meats to the pastas. Perfect for a group of 6 celebrating women. Especially if you happen to get one of the better looking Italian waiters...

Second sitting in the better looking Italian waiters' sections, and sticking to the apps & flatbreads. Have also enjoyed their sides & salads. Would skip the pastas, gnocchi & desserts.
