Do you know of any websites or blogs that focus on pickling? Or at least have great info about the process?

If so, which are your favorites?

Thanks!

  1. check out pickyourown.org - we use them as a jam-making resource all the time. not the prettiest site in the world, but great info.

    1. The National Center for Home Food Preservation is my go-to: http://www.uga.edu/nchfp/

I am generally pretty relaxed with food safety, but I'm pretty serious about pickling/canning safety since I think the risks are greater when things go wrong. Most reliable pickling/canning books and sites should base their recipes on NCHFP guidelines, either from the website I linked, the NCHFP published guide to food preservation, or the Ball Blue Book.
