Funny, the owner of the WF's name is Kevin too.

If you know how to contact him, you should tell him many people miss the WF.

Don't know him that well, just through many conversations while a customer there.

I guarantee you that Kevin, the OP, and Kevin who ran WF, are not the same person. Those of us who knew the WF Kevin (even if casually, like I did, but over many years) know that he's just not the type to do what monku is implying (even if in jest, monku!!)....WF had many, many fans including many on these boards including SIMIHOUND and others that such hoopla over WF by our poster Kevin is absolutely unnecessary. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Nonetheless, when WF Kevin shut the place down at the end of 2007, he expressed his desire to take it easy after 20-some odd years standing on his feet, slinging dogs all day every day (he usually worked six days a week, sometimes seven). He was going to do what he loved (scuba diving) and hang out with his love, Sher, his wife who also worked at WF and helped make it such a warm, welcoming place to eat (not to mention the outstanding dogs that many of us still pine over).

To answer the OP's question - I haven't heard either (and had given WF Kevin my business card and asked him to call me if he was ever to think of opening again), and my guess is that WF died in 2007, never to be revived again. I hope Kevin is enjoying life without money worries, such that he wouldn't need to ponder reviving WF just to make ends meet (I'm being unselfish here, now, folks!!).

Never implied anything, thought it was coincidental their names were the same.

No worries, just wanted to set the record straight for those who didn't know the WF Kevin.

              Damn, I miss those WF turkey dogs....Tom, M, C, O baby!!!

Nope. Not the same person. Just someone who really likes the wiener factory especially those turkey dogs with the natural casing that snaps doctored up with some spicy mustard and topped with generous handfuls of freshly grated, shredded cheddar cheese. Two of those and a soda and maybe a knish topped with cheddar was beyond bliss especially in the middle of the afternoon reading the paper and absorbing the witticisms on the wall and the steamy atmosphere from the dogs steam bath before being plopped on those amazing egg buns.

FYI - For those who liked the WF spicy polish, please note that Fab Hot Dogs uses the exact same supplier for that product.

The question is, who is the supplier?
