New Tim McKee Sushi NE Restaurant

Drove by Whiteys in NE - Hennepin and 4th - and saw a huge sign "Sushi&Robata - A new Tim McKee restaurant".

It said it was opening Spring 2011. Anybody know any information?

Say it ain't so....Whitey's is no more? Oh man, I thought Whitey's had great burgers and a fun bar atmosphere.

This will be interesting. I wonder if the area can support another Sushi joint. For the Twin Cities, there are already quite a few sushi offerings - some very good, some not so much.

There was a discussion on Yelp about it. Tim is just there consulting on the menu. Interiors by Shea. Sounds like Obento-Ya's concept, so I'll try it...but no one is taking my business away from Obento.

Foureyes, my first thought was that it's waaay close to Obento-Ya, both in location and in concept. And, like you, I'm a huge fan of Obento-Ya!
