Fresno Restaurant Week
I know normally these types of things are not supposed to be on this board, but given that the Chronicle has reviewed Erna's Elderberry House, I felt justified in noting here that in February, Erna's Elderberry house is offering 3 courses for $45, far less than the usual $95
PB, how can you compare the two?
I've been to Erna's EH several times and have never gotten the reason for the exorbinate prices. Come on $100. before a cocktail, wine, tip and tax. New prices seem to indicate she is realizing this too. I also heard it is up for sale.
Hunan is a totally different experience, pricewise, ambiance, cuisine. Though different, it would be my choice too.
Just feel a bit "taken" up there on the hill.
My point, exactly. Not comparing the two but as the current term du jour goes... jus' sayin'. If you're laying out that kind of scratch, I'd rather have something that takes care of my itch. We were so grossed out @ 20 years ago that we've never returned, never will, but will continue to bad mouth them to the bitter end. There are so MANY superior choices, Chef Vatche at Cracked Pepper Bistro, Mike Shackleford at Trelio with bro Chris on wines, hell, why leave town?

Thanks for the tip vulbar, we love Erna's, it is a 5 star destination restaurant and cannot be compared to Hunan's, where are weekly regulars when we're in CA. Although I love the food at Hunan's, our service has been lacking there the past couple of visits. Groupon was offering coupons there, pay $15 for $30 worth of food. Our last couple of visits they have been understaffed, I hope it clears up soon, the service quality needs to match the food quality which is awesome. :)
