Fanoos persian grill next to Starbucks along Crenshaw Blvd. Good deals on lunch plates. Also, Fishbonz in same complex by the AMC theatres.

Bombay Grocery Closed its changed hands with a new twist of foods. It still has the buffet ( I was there late in the day ) and some kabobs as well. Looked interesting..

I know it's a bit late since you wanted lunch rec's for today.

For fish, Baja Fish Grill on PCH just before Western.
For Thai, since Lomita Thai Cafe is closed on Mondays,you could try Soho Thai Cafe.
For a good (not great) burger, there Burger City Grill for decent burgers (I like the Lomita burger).
If you go further down PCH just past Hawthorne, there is another indian place called Bombay Tandoori and Banquet in a Days Inn which serves pretty good indian food.

I'd usually steer you to Gaja Moc for okonomiyaki, but they're closed on Mondays.

The last time I was at Gaja, a new chili burger place opened next door. Been meaning to try it but haven't been yet. On the Bun is 2387 Lomita Blvd 310-784-0844. Please report back if you give it a try.
