ISO restaurants with large round tables or private dining rooms

jl0328 Jan 24, 2011 05:15 AM

I am looking for restaurants (in CC) with large round tables or private dining rooms (without a fee) to host a monthly dinner meeting for 8-12 people. Unfortunately I think most BYOs are out, but if anyone knows of any that have large rounds I'd love to hear about them!

Did you try searching the board? This thread might help: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/757766

Chinatown might be the best place to find large, round tables. White Dog has a large, oval table in a private room that I thought was good for conversation.

My department had a great lunch in a private room at Tequila's. I think there were about 12 or 15 of us. It's not BYO, but they have a great bar! Rectangular table.

I don't know what your budget is, but I think Morton's can handle that set up for you.

M Restaurant has a private room in their hotel, next door, with a fireplace that's private and pretty.

Party ranges between 8-12. We don't have a budget - just in search of good food!

do you want a more upscale experience or would you prefer a more casual place? i love han dynasty for a big group experience- some of the other places mentioned in chinatown would be good too. i always see big groups at banana leaf, so maybe youd enjoy that

as belgianbeermistress mentioned, tequilas is also a good choice. the food isnt great imo but the drinks are delicious and its definitely nicer (as far as decor, service) than some of the chinatown options. kinda depends on what youre in the mood for and whos in your party
