Update: from Dittmer's FB page, July 5:

"Waiting for a few more pieces of equipment, one from Germany. Hopefully next week we will start up the smokehouse. What would you suggest we smoke first?"

Los Altos Town Crier article mentioning early-mid July as a target for opening:

    We're getting closer...

Here's something on their progress and long anticipated opening, looks like it might be this month:

Dittmer's has secured a new location a bit down the road at El Camino Real and Clark, in a space about twice the size of the prior location.

September is mentioned as a possible opening date.

Tks PAIII for the info - I've been wondering when/if/where they'd reopen... good that the new location will be twice as large - though this might mean crowds twice as large!

Thanks for sharing this news! It's great to hear it will be closer to me as well as bigger.

I'm glad they are reopening, but they moved in the wrong direction!
They were supposed to move north towards 101 :)

At least they got a bigger space. I once asked if they dry aged steaks and they said that they would love to, but didn't have the room to age them... so I am hoping that this new location will mean some dry aged steak!

When they reopen I am going to have buy some veal kidneys and my favorite sausages/charcuterie to celebrate! I miss them.

Hope the damage isn't too severe! Love that place.
