Hostaria del Piccolo restaurant week lunch (very short review)
- westsidegal Jan 23, 2011 03:49 PM
Seared fresh ricotta, seasonal mushrooms, vincotto
Roasted tomato sauce, eggplant, mozzarella, basil
Pumpkin panna cotta: zucchini blossom sauce
also to be noted, the price/quality/quantity ratios of the restaurant week menu theat i tried are, imho, exceptionally good.

re: Ciao Bob
went back there for lunch today.
had the exact same dishes.
the pasta is certainly as good as any that was ever served to me at valentino.
the kitchen is consistent, today's food was just as good as sunday's food.
the DineLA deal is great.
dunno if i'd be quite as enthused if i were paying their normal prices though ($16 for a bowl of pasta as opposed to $16 for a three course lunch).. . .
Went to lunch and enjoyed the Dine LA menu. Thought it was a wonderful deal, too.
We had for appetizers: pigs' ears (would have loved a stronger sauce) and seared ricotta (yummy);
for entree: pizza with buffalo mozzarella and pizza with spicy salami (both very good);
for dessert: pumpkin panna cotta and crispy hot ravioli with apples (both delicious).
I want to go back to try their DineLA dinner menu.
