I work in the area - it's a pretty frustrating area, food wise. There's a Shopsy's on Victoira, along with a Swiss chalet (but a terrible, terrible swiss chalet thats always packed - but the food quality is horrible)... there's a really good Vietnamese place right on the corner of Warden and Steeles, and just a bit north (in it's own building)...
At Warden and HWY 7, there's a Milestones and a Cora's.
Pickings are pretty slim.

Well, pickings are slim only if Asian cuisine is not your thing....which based on your recommendations may describe your tastes. I guess you are referring to the Shopsy's on Woodbine near Steelcase and the nearby Swiss Chalet. Both are further away than J-town from Warden/Steeles and Warden/Hwy 7 is even more of a trek. You might as well recommend Remezzo's at Sheppard/Warden...can't be any further away. Not for the OP because it's closed for lunch on Saturdays, but what do you think of The School Fine Dining on 14 th Ave, East of Birchmount? I think that's the best non-Asian place closest to Warden/Steeles. Your Vietnamese place in its own building describes Star King Viet Thai, 2 doors north of a Boston Pizza.

re: T Long
Are there a great number of Asian options in the area? I've only been working there for a short while. I like all cuisines and definitely don't limit myself. I was just listing all the places I've seen that one might go in the area - regardless wether I'd go or not.
Ah yes, the school is probably the nicest place I'm the area that I'm currently aware of, but I've not been in a few years - I used to go quite a bit - so I'm not certain of it's current state. My palette has matured quite a bit since then - so I'm not even certain I'd enjoy it now - but I used to think it was pretty good.
I've also since read that there is a Sam Woo's in the area - I used to go to the one at Mavis and Britannia(?) in Mississauga, and was quite fond of it.
Star King is the place I'm describing. The service is always friendly, and the food very consistent. I go about once per week.

And know that would be 2 different Sam Woo's in the same strip mall 1 block South of Steeles off Warden. Sam Woo Seafood for very decent dim sum (inexpensive @ $2.30 for SML if order before 11:00am on Week-ends) and Sam Woo BBQ for bbq, congee, wonton soup etc. Same mall also has a popular pho place called Pho88 and a popular HK style place called D&R Wings. If you decide on dim sum at Sam Woo Seafood, check out a dish called "spicy wontons"
Casa Imperial is one short block East of Warden/Steeles for higher level dim sum
J-town is about a mile West of Warden/Steeles.
Mall with a T&T is right at Warden/Steeles....with many restaurant outlets. My favorite there is place called Star King Viet Thai where I go to get my local Pho fixes.
