Mad Bean Coffee House on the Eglinton Way
Checked out the fairly new independently owned coffee house in the Eglinton and Avenue Road area today. What a delightful cozy space. Vintage decor with a modern (and clean) washroom. Perfect for catching up or studying. It is a family run spot. The staff was lovely and welcoming. With nothing but overpriced food stores and chain cafes, this honest mom and pops cafe is a much needed addition to the neighbourhood. They seem to have sandwiches and baked goods which looked really good! I had a Darjeeling tea and enjoyed it. I really would like to promote this space as I think it has the customer in its mind’s eye in terms of loyalty, food and beverages. If anyone could chime in and fill me in on their food suppliers and how the coffee is that would be great.

I really like this place too.
I know that they get some of their baked goods from Circles & Squares, and they are very tasty. Not sure if all of their baked goods are from C&S, but certainly some of them.
They also bring in sandwiches from Sky Blue Sky, so that is nice.
They bring in their bagels from St. Urbain and warm them up on the same press as is used for warming up the sandwiches, which makes the bagels nice and crispy with cool grill marks.
Good organic, fair trade coffees and teas and what not. Lovely addition to the area.
