Dining at Scarpetta Bar???

  • 7

Has anyone dined at Scarpetta's bar lately? Do they offer their full menu? I checked their website but it didn't indicate. Planning on going Tuesday evening around 9pm. Do you think it will be overly crowded? Will we have trouble getting a seat at/near the bar?

Muchas Gracias!

  1. Dining at the bar at Scarpetta is great...full menu, nice bartenders, try lots of wines, etc...9pm is somewhat primetime, so hard to say the wait for a bar seat, could be fine, could a moderate wait...i usually go either very early or very late...

    1. I haven't been in a while, but it's great. They serve the full menu, and at the bar you get the great herbed potato chips too. I would recommend the bar more than the tables in that extra area in front of the bar. I find the servers in that area to not be as good, but the bartenders are pretty good.

      1. I ate there last night (Friday). We showed up around 7:30 pm, and there were 3 two-tops available in the bar area. They offer the full menu, and although the restaurant room will most likely be full, I think you should have no trouble at the bar.

        1. Thanks for the replies! We are coming down from Boston and staying Tues & Weds night. Any recommendations for dinner on Weds? I wanted to try Lincoln but my GF doesn't like the look of the room. She wants something a little more "quaint". Other considerations are Townhouse, Mark, Freeman's, ABC but I'm open to anything. I already ate at KO and WD50 on my last trip. Thanks for you help :)

It will be cold on Wednesday. Peasant might be a good idea. Prune is cozy.

Along with Peasant, Hearth or Apizz are other options. Prune is cozy, but be warned that "cozy" to some is cramped to others. However, the food is very enjoyable, with relatively simple preparations executed well.

I'd start a new thread asking about a cozy place for Weds (this upcoming week, as in, a few days from now?), as it's not about Scarpetta's bar any more.
