looking for Montréal Poutine in Lower Merrimac Valley!

I live in greater Plaistow and I am looking for some Poutine in the SE NH or NE Ma. Have not had it since my hockey playing days and have a hankering for this wonderful dish. Anyone?

  1. I like the concept of "greater Plaistow!" The best I've found in the region is up in Manchester at Bellagio Pizza. Others on this board have previous gone through all of the details -- I've found them outstanding.

There is a Bellagio in Nashua as well off Exit 6.

Ha ha. I grew up in a big city and for 16 years I have been in S NH. I call it Downtown (tongue-in-cheek) because we live in one of the little towns near there and that is where we do all our shopping. Not in Haverhill which has a pretty good downtown. :)

I'll give a nod to Bellagio Pizza. It's the closest Ive found to the real deal.

        2. Romano's pizza in Salem, NH on Main street has it on their menu. I don't know if it's "Montreal" style or not. Might be worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.

          1. Adam Sandler's fave-rave Red Arrow Diner serves Poutine, also Chez Vachon. Both are in Manchester. Also Joey's Diner in Amherst.

I couldn't seem to find poutine on the menus for Red Arrow or Joey's Diner. Is it just as a special?

I think they call it something different, like "fries with creamy beef gravy", because a lot of people wouldn't know what the heck poutine is.

They also use cheese sauce at Red Arrow which really makes it not Poutine, at least for me. I'd be surprised if people here didn't know what it was, I thought NH was one of the few places where you can actually find the stuff outside of Canada.

            2. Estabrook Grill on Pine St in Nashua
