Restaurant Week Dinner Ideas Downtown
HI Guys --
I have an early dinner with two colleagues -- one is helping out in New York only next week. Would love suggestions for a RW dinner downtown -- we are in East Village -- LES, Soho, Noho, W Village, probably as far north as Union Sq or Flatiron -- just someplace with good food and a pleasant atmosphere. Late in the week probably but can be flexible re the night.
Thanks very much.
Po is participating and takes reservations via phone only, so it's possible they aren't fully booked yet.

Thank you so much, Kathryn. Their menu looks really nice. I did just call and make a reservation -- I know it's a Friday. I was asking if it is always so noisy, and it was so noisy that they couldn't hear me. I made it for Thursday. I think he said it is small so gets noisy. It might be great but would also be interested in another idea. Thanks very much.

Glancing at the list, I'd look at:
Apiary

Thanks so much kathryn. Sd26 looks booked on open table. I can call. Of the names you have listed including po, what do you like best?

I've only been to Perilla, SD26, and Po. Of those, I liked Po the best but Perilla is also very good. Apiary and Nuela are on my to do list but I've heard good feedback from trusted posters on this board.

Great. I was able to reserve at po and apiary. As long as my colleagues are ok with the sound level it sounds like we should try po. Thank you so much.

Thank you to Kathryn for the suggestion of Po, where we had a very nice dinner last night. the Restaurant Week menu offered nice selections. The food was good -- I thought desserts were best -- and the restaurant was very relaxed, low-key, and comfortable. We were seated near the back - not noisy at all -- and after we ate were doing some work at the table. They were very graciious -- it seemed they did not need the table -- and we stayed for four hours. Thanks again, Kathryn -- it worked out very well.
