samosas

I'm shocked there hasn't been a thread about this already, but where's the best place to hit for an amazing samosa?

    Bricklane curry house has good samosas. Tamarind Tribeca has really good small (and expensive ) ones with anardaana and aamchoor.

    For takeouts there is a little subterranean punjabi deli near 1st and avenue A. I forget the name.

      Believe it or not, for take out samosas we have found some very good ones at Curry in a Hurry. The outside is on the thick side but when they are fresh they are well filled and tasty. For restaurant samosas we have found good ones at Delhi Heights, in Queens. I'm always surprised why some good Indian restaurants don't have amazing samosas. Some do, some do not. Maybe its one of those things that is easy to make, but not so easy to make very well.
