Gluten Free lunch in DUMBO

kromurlik Jan 20, 2011 06:45 PM

So I have been searching for gluten free food options in DUMBO. Any recommendations? It has to taste good--not those tasteless gluten free lunches. Tastes good, gluten free and vegan staff. Greens and things but not crazily expansive...i know those green asparagus in nearby grocery cost me half of my working salary....and I just started to work.

Creperie on Front street has gluten free and I loved the place. I wish they serve salads --I would get it all in one place--but the crepe was tasty and coffee was strong enough and not bitter. Very cute spot and no sign. The boy who works there was very polite and swift.

There aren't a ton of options in Dumbo -- there's Japanese (Miso), if that works for you, and Choice might have some options. Other than that, Foragers and Bridge Market probably have some packaged gluten-free meals.

I would suggest that you also repost this asking for things that you are looking for other than gluten free. Unless someone suggests pizza and fried foods, very few restaurants will have a hard time accommodating gf these days.

Front Street Pizza has some gluten free options. Haven't tried them myself, but a former co-worker used to eat there often.
