Food at the Lotos Club

My fiance and I are looking at wedding locations. Wondering if anyone has opinions on the quality of food and the presentation at the Lotos club?

  1. I haven't been to Lotos Club in a couple of years, but the food was solid in my recollection. Traditional preps, nothing adventurous, but perfectly appropriate for a wedding. Lots of realistic nude paintings of women, though, if that's an issue.

    1. I've only been there once, but it was the best food that I've had in any private club in New York, and also the loveliest environment.

      1. I went to a wedding there earlier this year (actually, I was a bridesmaid, so I attended both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself) and I was shocked in a good way at how delicious the food was. I highly recommend it.

        1. Many thanks all for your feedback on the club. Good to know!

Hi! I just found this thread. I'm thinking of holding my wedding there, too. What did you think?

We recently did our tasting and I was very impressed with the food. It is more traditional in style and presentation. Their chanterelle mushroom risotto was amazing! One of those dishes that makes you want to come back for more. I would recommend visiting the place if you're interested. It's elegant and has a lot of character.

I visited on Sat! Very lovely. It seems perfect. So glad to hear that the food is delicious. Are you definitely holding it there?

Do you know anyone who's a member? I'm trying friends-of-friends but both the fiance and I are in tech & finance, and unfortunately don't know many people in the journalism circles.

Yes. We're getting married there next month. I would ask the special events department if they can set you up with a sponsor. I know they have done that in the past so it shouldn't be too hard to arrange. It's a nice, intimate venue, and great location right off of Fifth.
