Need a Good Restaurant Near Sheraton in Edison, NJ

Meeting people from Texas in Edison and looking for a good restaurant for dinner. Open to any type of food.

There are many, many good restaurants within 20-30 minutes but if you want to stay fairly close to the hotel your choices may be limited.

There used to be a good sushi place called U-Yee right across Gill Lane from the hotel. I haven't been for years so I don't know what it may or may not be like now.

In addition to Lou Cas, there are two other Italian places I like - Il Castello's in Woodbridge and Casa Giuseppe in Iselin.

For Thai food, you can't do much better than Mie Thai in Woodbridge.

And, as already noted, there are numerous excellent Indian places nearby.

I second the Skylark. I also enjoy Romulus at the Hilton....should be nearby

Very near the hotel on Old Post Road at US 1 there are many authentic asian restaurants, Korean, Malaysian, Chinese.

Your about 10 mins away from an array of Indian restaurants. Why travel far when delicious Indian meals can be enjoyed. Two recs:

I can only surmise your friends from Texas have not had good Northeastern Italian......so I will suggest LouCas

For Pastrami......maybe not the best, but it will definitely be memorable.

I second Harold. Never had a bad meal there. Plus the comically large portions will be memorable.

You might look at the Skylark Diner on Rte 1 - lots of posts about it here .

If you venture into the next town, Highland Park, there happens to be 2 I like.

One is a Greek BYO...Pithari Taverna. It has a great store next to it that sells some really good Greek wines.

The other is Turkish, also BYO. Zeina.

They are both on the same street, about 1/2 mile from each other (if that.) I can't think of any other place in that area to eat. New Brunswick restaurants are so 1990 to me, boring.

Anyway, enjoy your meals!! Have fun!
