Bay area foodie looking for memorable eats in FT. Lauderdale.

My girlfriend and I (mid 30s) will be spending Friday in ft. Lauderdale before we fly back to San Francisco the next day. We're looking for a memorable meal! I can get fantastic asian, new American 'Wine country' cuisine and even outstanding seafood out west. Any good recommendations for something fantastic and unique to this area?

Btw, I've eaten 4 groupers in the last 5 days. While it is delicious, I could use a break.
