Groupon: Savant Project...any good?
Today's Groupon is the Savant project on Tremont. I can honestly say this place has seemingly went silent in the media and on Chow since it opened. Is anything on the menu worth trying? I like how they do lunch.

Don't by the Groupon if you haven't already. I got roped into this place when the wife bought a Groupon last year. Poor quality and poorly prepared food. Suffice to say that she apologized when we left the restaurant. I think there may be a review but couldn't readily find it by searching.
I had a pretty good meal there a couple of years ago, although I can't remember exactly what we got and I've never been back, so obviously it wasn't too memorable. It was a quiet weeknight, and there definitely wasn't any service issues though.
I haven't been there in a couple of years, but always liked the informal vibe and the cooking, which was a little by-the-seat-of-the-pants - Here's my post from a couple of years ago, so take it with a grain of salt...
It's not a place I would go out of the way for with the wife. It's got a grad student / hipster feel and I get the sense that the Mass College of Art may be a big feeder for this place. I like it for what it is, but I honestly don't really appreciate the Groupon thing.
I've been there a few times for drinks & appetizers during off hours. They only have a beer, wine, & cordial license, but they are quite creative with it. I've never had a full meal there, but I've enjoyed what I've gotten. The staff is also very friendly.
I say go for it (especially at half off)!
