Management & staff have changed at P.M. (1809 Ste-Catherine West)
Downtown restaurant P.M. ( Prêt-à-manger) is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. I was there for lunch today and noticed the staff and the management have changed. I would like to find out if cooking has changed as well.
The lunch menu, the main menu and prices have not changed. A bowl of rice is still included with the price of the meal.
Even if the staff and the management have changed, the staff said the cooks were the same as before. I have noticed small changes: The small menu at the table only had 5 or 6 items. It now offers about 30 different offerings above and beyond the lunch menu and the regular menu.
My order of mixed Chinese vegetables had the same mix of 5 vegetables. The serving was about 20% more generous…
I can’t wait to find out if their BBQ duck or their hot pots are still outstanding.

Any idea how long ago the changeover happened?
I was there about a month ago and everything was as good as ever. The beef stew was particularly fine winter comfort food.

re: celfie
Still same manager? It seems they have gone back to their original name(Pret a Manger), instead of shortened to P.M. They have added many more menu items. Anymore comments if their food have changed(quality-wise)? There's a feature article on Chinatown 2 in today's Montreal Gazette, with mentions & Pret a Manager & its new owners.
