Newport Grill - YYC
I was wondering if anybody has been to the Newport Grill recently (on Lake Bonavista)? It's been a few years since I've been there but was thinking that I should make a trip back if it's worth it. I remember the view and ambiance being exceptional, and the food being ok... but it's been a while. I notice on their website they seem to have a nice Wednesday deal, 5 courses paired with 5 wines for $55.
Is it worth giving a try? Any recent visits by anybody?

Went for lunch about a year ago, was very disappointed, as this used to be my family's go to nice night out place, since we lived in the neighborhood. While I cannot remember exactly what was ordered out of the 6 orders, I do remember being upset that it had gone downhill. Family members returned for lunch again about 3 months later, and found the same thing. Perhaps the chefs that are on at dinner are better? Would love to hear that it has gotten better.
