every time i've walked into mcewan's there's been a guy hawking avocado oil. it's been a while since i've been there but he tells you a bit about the stuff and lets you have a taste, although i can't testify to the price or quality. it is after all, avocado oil.

i happened to pop into a metro today (not my regular grocery store) and purchased a bottle of avocado oil ...it's the 'house' line (irresitables) for $7.99. who knew?!

While I'm not in Canada, I got avocado oil from Whole Foods. I was inspired to try it because they're putting it in dog food of all things, and it sounded good. It didn't taste like avocadoes if that's what you're expecting though.

Whole Foods uses Refined Avocado. Thats why there's no taste to it. Use Regular Avocado Oil.

I use La Tourangelle avocado oil. It's of very good quality. You should be able to find it at Fresh From the Farm and other stores in Toronto.

most bizarre ... i called tourangelle directly to ask where their product is sold in canada. the person who answered the phone said winners and home sense. but she could not provide me with any FOOD retailer.

i'm shaking my head a bit!

i know home sense has a small food section ... i guess i'll have to check that out.

I know the Sweet Potato on Dundas West/Pacific sells their products. I'm pretty sure I've seen them stock the avocado oil, but you can give them a call to make sure http://www.thesweetpotato.ca/

haha.... Winner's was actually one of the first places that popped into my head when reading your request, but I wouldn't have recommended it because of how random it is... I have seen La Tourangelle products more than a few times there, but it's definitely not a reliable place to look for it.
