Anyone know where I can find gianduja (Hazelnut Paste) in Toronto?

My understanding is that Gianduja is not hazelnut paste, but rather chocolate with a measure of hazelnut paste mixed in. I've found this is small, individually gold-foil-wrapped pieces, at the bulk place at the back (north) end of the lower level of SLM.

I think there are two versions; I've heard of the chocolate blend you're talking about and also heard it pertain to a paste as well.

I have no idea whether this is feasible, but maybe give your favourite chocolate shop a call and see if they would sell you some of theirs. Personally, I'd go with Soma. :)

Otherwise, I would guess that some of the specialty Italian grocery stores might carry it. Lady York, perhaps?

I actually found a jar of hazelnut paste at the dry goods shop in the basement of SLM. Not quite Gianduja, but it worked in a pinch.
