Greetings All:

Anybody out there know a good Chinese restaurant in Edinburgh, Scotland?

  1. Chop Chop is as good as it gets, and that's not very.

    1. Not much choice in terms of chinese unfortunately. As good as it gets are places that don't serve the standard menu, that serve as cosy local places with homey cooking when you can't be bothered to make your own fish fragrant aubergines. If you want hotpot, there's two in tollcross. In the city centre a noodle place has opened up, I haven't been yet - Hongfu Noodle Bar. There's two chop chop now and the one in Leith looks rather expensive for what it is. Haven't been to the other for a while. In Leith is Golden Bridge, which meets my description exactly (well it did three years ago) - great if you live nearby, wouldn't cross town for it. My choice Wing Sing Inn, their juicy dumplings and pigs ears are perfect for warming up a winter's night.

      1. Try the Szechuan House on Lochrin Terrace for the dumpling soup, smoked duck, ringing bell, twice cooked pork, ma po bean curd, gung bo lamb and other spicy stuff.
