There are lots of reviews on london-eating.co.uk. They seem to be very, very favourable so I hope they were written by real people. :-) I see there is also Roux at Parliament Square. I wonder how that compares.

iirc roux at parliament square got slammed in the independent by their reviewer.

i've only eaten at the brasserie roux, sofitel. i went several times for business lunches and each time it was fine. nothing interesting or exciting and not a place i would want to spend my own money.

It must be terrible to be a chef and work under someone else's name. People expect Roux food, and maybe that's impossible to deliver in so many different places. Just thinking....

my sympathy is limited - i'm sure the fee that is paid under via sort of deals softens the blow significantly!

We went a few weeks ago. The room is really pretty, but we were expecting great things from the kitchen and were a bit let down. It was fine, but nothing outstanding - much better recent meals at The Square, Viajante, Chez Bruce, Trinity, among others. Service was spot on at certain points and then fell off at others. We left feeling underwhelmed.
