Restaurants for a wedding reception in Somerville or Cambridge?

I'm looking for a restaurant that would be able to host a daytime wedding reception in September or October. Right now, we're looking for a place that could do a buffet or heavy apps for about 80 people, at about $80 a head. So far, we're looking at the Enormous Room (no response yet), the Lizard Lounge, and Elephant Walk. Any suggestion are really appreciated, basically we just want something fun and simple. Thanks!

Elephant Walk

Enormous Room

Lizard Lounge

  1. You could check East Coast Grill, Russell House Tavern, Highland Kitchen, and Rendezvous as well. ECG and Rendezvous aren't open for lunch (except for ECG Sunday Brunch) so perhaps they could accommodate you.

East Coast Grill and Raw Bar
1271 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA 02139

    Russell House Tavern
14 JFK Street, Cambridge, MA 02138

    1. 80 may be over their capacity, and I have no idea about cost, but I attended a daytime wedding and reception at Oleana in september that was charming - the setting and food fit the couple perfectly.

134 Hampshire St., Cambridge, MA 02139

      1. I believe The Blue Room can do wedding receptions; they don't serve lunch/brunch on Saturdays so you may be able to rent out the whole place if you have it early enough.

        The Blue Room
Hampshire and Portland streets, Cambridge, MA 02139

          1. We had a Bar Mitzvah @ The Enormous Room and I think the capacity there is only 60.
We went a little over but still had room. The apps were amazing.

          2. We did ours 5 years ago at Davio's in the Royal Sonesta - Davio's has since been replaced by Dante, but the space was really nice so I'd still recommend checking it out.
