cozy bar/lounge for a date

  • 4

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for suggestions for a cozy bar or lounge for a date tonight. We're meeting up for drinks around 7 and don't want to go somewhere too busy (which is why I ruled out Pravda), ideally within walking distance from Yonge and King...let's a 10 minute radius, since it's a cold day.

I thought of Laide originally but they close at 6 tonight...not sure where else is close and somewhat intimate. What about O&B or the Keg? I know the food isn't necessarily the greatest, but we're looking for ambiance more as we'll just be having a couple of drinks and maybe a bit if we're peckish. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

  1. The Consort Bar inside the King Eddy is cozy with a nice ambiance, and usually shouldn't be too busy. Nice place for a date.

Lucien (bar menu) or The Wine Bar also might be good options to consider.

    1. I haven't been, but Black Moon lounge looked nice. Here's my one photo I have of it walking by in the summer: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jlunar/4...

There's also Origin (though not my thing and may be a bit busy).

      1. ... or hop on the subway at King and Yonge; hop off at Museum and head over to the Rooftop Lounge at the Park Hyatt and sit by the fire ...

        1. The lounge/bar on the main floor of the King Eddy is actually a rather nice and cozy winter spot and oh so close!
