Need rec for tonight within 30 mins of national harbor

Hi all, we are visiting from NYC and originally had plans to go to Siroc for dinner but wound up having Italian last night so we need to figure out something new. We are staying in national harbor and have a car, willing to drive around 30 mins but prefer not to go into DC. Was thinking crab but seems we missed the season, have read some threads on BBQ consensus seems people like Andy Nelsons but apparently they're closed on sundays. Any recommendations for something truly great in the vicinity, cheap or expensive, nice or casual makes no big difference. Thanks!

  1. I have not yet eaten at Vermilion in Old Town Alexandria (Virginia) but I have a reservation there in for mid-Feb, based on very positive reviews. (Mid Feb due to my schedule, not because reservations are required a month in advance!)

    1. Either Brabo or its its tasting room a couple of door down is a good choice in Old Town.

This has always been and it still one of my favorite places. It was just voted in the top 50 restaurants in the country by OpenTable and for the past 40 years has been listed as a top fave in the DC area. Great for politician spotting too if its your thing.
