Taste of Ethiopia - Southfield, MI (Groupon 1/16)

I've been wanting to try it, and lucky for me today's Groupon is $25 value for $10. (it will be my first play with this high tech Groupon thing

Sadly, I missed this Groupon. :-(

And yes, Taste of Ethiopia (the Southfield location, NOT the Detroit one) is my pick over Blue Nile or that newish Ethiopian place out in Canton/Plymouth.

But recently, I found some excellent Ethiopian in Windsor, if anyone is ever on that side of the border:

Bummer. I missed the Groupon coupon, too, but I do like Taste of Ethiopia, although the food presentation and ambiance isn't quite as nice as the Blue Nile (especially the Ann Arbor location). However, I'm highly sensitive (allergic?) to peppers, so TOE is my only choice for Ethiopian food.

As did I. I've only bought one other Groupon for Atlas Global Bistro and that was an excellent deal!! Maybe we will see you all there!

Atlas did a Groupon?!?!?!? When? I never saw that one! Curses! That just *sucks*! I love that place!

Well...I missed that one. I printed mine out last night after writing the above comment. I purchased mine on November 12th. I can't believe I missed the second one. I was talking to the owner of Topz Burger in B'ham who had a recent Groupon. He was telling me that the business gets half of the Groupon amount for each coupon and Groupon keeps the rest. For example...the $ 20.00 Groupon for Atlas worth $ 40 ..Atlas only keeps $10 of it. I'm sure they do it exposure but it doesn't seem like much of a deal for the restaurant!

Bought one myself. I've been there before and remember how good it is.

I also bought the Groupon for ToE; my 3rd buy from Groupon. A few days ago they had a deal
for A Matter of Taste. Hope it works out well!
