Tocqueville or Adour ?

celebrating our 7th anniversary - was thinking of Del Posto - but should have been thinking of it earlier - of those that still have reservations for Jan. 22nd - Tocqueville or Adour? We haven't been to either - any clear favorite?

      1. Adour has the benefit of Didier Elena at the helm, who has long been one of Ducasse's most reliable chefs. I don't think Tocqueville measures up.

        Also, the pastry chef, Sandro Micheli, likely makes the best macarons in the city.

        1. Neither. Go to Corton instead. Opentable shows openings at 7:15 and 8:45 on January 22.

            Tocqueville. Great service, beautiful room..very classy. Delicious food. We have only had memorable meals there. Marco the chef owner and his wife bring a personal touch to the restaurant that sets it apart.

          2. Have not been to Adour. Tocqueville is a wonderful restaurant. Innovative food, a great room and first rate management.

            1. can not comment on Adour but just had a wonderful birthday dinner with my husband last night at Tocqueville...our first time there and it was on the recs from ch, Food was superb, we had the five course tasting chefs tasting and we were both full until the next morning!! The service was equally wonderfully, really enjoyed everyone. Beautiful, high ceilinged dining room. Just a memorable lovely experience!
