What are your 5 favorite restaurants anywhere near fort pierce?

We're going to be staying on hutchinson island for a week in february and are looking for restaurants for lunch and dinner. We live in NY, and are especially looking for fresh seafood, fried seafood, cuban food, anything local. Price range is very flexible. We're happy to drive up to an hour if it's really great. Where would you want to eat? Thanks!

4. Hurricane Grill - for wings
5. Cafe Creme - port st Lucie - great German food but unfortunately closed

I really encourage you to try Food Shack. It's a little bit of a drive,but it's worth it. I make it there regularly from Jensen Beach

Food Shack is definitely worth the drive but go early or be prepared to wait. 11 Maple is very good and Claretta's in Palm City is wonderful. New England Fish Market is always reliable. Osceola Cafe, Flagler Grill in Stuart don't disappoint either.

That's true, there can be a wait at Foodshack. A weeknight will be less so, probably under 30 minutes. They are closed Sundays.

I was not impressed by Flagler Grill, but that was about 4 years ago. I can't recall the last time I went to Osceola Cafe, and I can say it did not make a lasting impression for what that is worth.

First off, I suggest you look away from Ft Pierce for dining.

I think you would really enjoy the Food Shack in Jupiter for very fresh and unique seafood offerings. Closer to Hutchinson Isl you may try King Neptune, a little hole in the wall seafood place in Port Salerno (the south side of Stuart). Great conch chowder and seafood chowder. Closer still is New England fish Market in Jensen Beach. The seafood is very fresh, and local if possible. I personally don't care much for their fried food, but most others like it. I suggest you try it for yourself.

Cuban has sort of gone on Hiatus from the area.

11 Maple is fantastic, expensive, fine dining. I always enjoy Renato's.

I rarely go up to Vero, but you may search that area and find something worthwhile. And there are plenty of other good places in Stuart

I performed at the Sunrise Theater last November. I really enjoyed Yellowtail Grill. A unique and tasty rendition of Shrimp and Grits, and the toasted lager from LakePoint (I think that's the brewery) was really good.
