Paris with Food Allergies

Staying at the Mercure Porte de St Cloud. Son has severe tree nut and sesame allergies. Have "chef
cards" in French explaining the allergies, but even a little bit of English on the part of the staff is helpful.
Any suggestions for nice restaurants near the Mercure that know their ingredients and have some
English speaking staff ? Willing to travel into Paris proper for some meals.
Really good steak and frites is usually safe.

Please send some suggestions.

Thanks

    1. With the proviso that these comments are dated, there is a brasserie, Les Princes, where you can get steak or burger/frites etc. And at least two seafood restaurants, Marius and Vin et Maree, where you can order fish prepared w/o the fancy sauces. All the restaurants in this commercial area will have English speaking wait staff.
