seeking recommendation: pre-movie dinner in port chester?

Looking to go for a decent meal before a 9:30pm movie tomorrow. Babysitter gets to our house at 6pm, so need a place we can through the meal (without rushing but able to enjoy) in about 1.5 hours.

It'll just be 2 of us.

Thanks!

Depends what you are looking for. There are a plethora of options in Port Chester.

    Some thoughts:
Piero's on Regent Street is cozy (a bit tight), old world Italian, not red sauce persay. Very good food.
Arrosto: a new restaurant further down the road that seems interesting and has gotten good early reviews here.
Bar Taco: Near Willett house i, a bit loud with a big bar crowd but also with positive early reviews on food.
Tarry Lodge: Batali-Bastianich owned - mixed reviews on CH -can be loud and most say it does best with its pizzas and pastas - skip the entrees.
Tandoori - a very good Indian on Main Street.
Nessa, another Italian further down Main toward CT. In the past I and others were rushed through Nessa but recent reviews indicate perhaps they've improved somewhat. Fantastic chicken under a brick. In my experience other entrees not as exciting and overpriced silly little bruschetta apps - good but, as I said overpriced and little.
Willett House for steak. Not a fave of mine but others like it. Many also refer to it as Wallet house both for the high prices and the clientele
There are a several red sauce Italians around - T&J on Westchester Ave and Franks closer to the Byram border. I find the food and atmosphere better at T&J.
For Peruvian, I'd take Misti over El Chavin but Misti is always busy, lots of families and noise. Chavin is usually pretty dead and I've found that to be reflective of the food.
You can go Brazilian Churrascaria at CopaCabana. Not the best Brazilian I've had but serviceable.
Inca y Gaucho - Argentinian - decent inside, definitely a stay and eat type place. I have only had take-out empanadas from here so don't have much info.
Small, with no liquor license but good Colombian is Aqui Es Santa Fe behind the train station. Lovely people and good food but smallish and perhaps a bit too casual. There are some good "hole-in-the-wall" ethnic places but not so great for hanging out and relaxing for a leisurely meal.

There are more but I hope this helps and that something I've mentioned is of sufficient interest for you to research it further.

Good suggestions, but I think some of them could be a problem with a 1.5 hour time limit, especially for the ones not close to the movie theater. Has anyone ever eaten at Tarry Lodge and told them you needed to be out in a set amount of time? I do agree with the pizzas and pastas instead of entrees advice.
