Something Special- Rest Rec

Hello,
I am looking for some reccomendations, as someone who is new to the area. My husband and I just moved up to West Hartford and are looking for a special place for dinner to celebrate. We have tried all of the resturants in West Hartford Center, and are looking for something a little different. We have something special to celebrate and are looking for a nice romantic spot to do this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I wholeheartedly agree with Metro Bis, Mill at 2T and On20. Food is first rate at all three but I would say 2T and On20 have more of a romantic ambiance than Metro Bis. Another "special occasion" restaurant to consider is Still River Cafe in Eastford. It's a schlep....probably an hour from West Hartford but well worth it.

Mill at 2T in Tariffville. There are only 9 tables you have to have a reservation.
The menu changes daily. While a bit pricey, it is our favorite special occasion spot!

Have you been to Metro Bis in Simsbury? Haven't been myself yet (I'm 50 minutes away), but I have heard very good things about it. www.metrobis.com
