Great value and tasty dinner in Brandon, VT

I ate at Patricia's Restaurant, aka Sully's in Brandon. I probably haven't been there in 20 years. I know Brandon doesn't get a lot of chowhounds, but I wanted to review it.

It is definately an old style restaurant, with a fairly broad but unfussy menu. The food was very good and I enjoyed it a lot. It was such a great value, though, that I had to write about it.

They start you off with a bread basket, plus you get a cracker basket with a garlicy cheese spread. The bread was good, the cheese spread was very tasty.

I had the eggplant parm. With it, I had the choice of coleslaw, corn or cottage cheese as one side and the choice of green salad or soup as the second side. I also could select pasta, baked, mashed or fries, or rice as the starch.

My soup was a potato scallion and bacon that was okay, nothing special. My wife didn't like hers as it was kind of salty. My eggplant parm was very tasty, with a good marinara and a lot of cheese melted over it. The french fries (okay not very traditional) were hand cut and good. I took a lot of it home because I was stuffed.

Oh yeah, did I tell you my whole meal was $14.95? My Wife had the chicken parm and it was even better than the eggplant. It was $16.95. They also had shrimp, steak, etc on the menu that was a little higher priced. You can also get burgers and salads.

If you are in Brandon and want a good old style hearty meal, I'd recommend it!
