Recipe for "Spicy Secreto" @ the St. Francis Hotel bar Santa Fe ?
I believe it was made with crushed cucumber, jalapeno and cachaca rum Should be served in a Martini or Margarita glass.
Gonzales’ winning drink was the Spicy Secreto:
1 ½ ounces Cabana Cachaca
3/4 ounce St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
1 jalapeno slice (without seeds
)2 cucumber slices
2 ounces fresh sour
New Mexican red chile rim
Muddle jalapeno, cucumber and 1 ounce fresh sour. Rim a tall glass with red chile, and then add the rest of the liquid ingredients. Shake and double strain over ice. Garnish with two green chile chopsticks.
Fresh Sour Mix
2 parts simple syrup
2 parts lemon juice
1 part lime juice
